Don’t get Snared by Lies and Scams Part 2
By Terry | May 11, 2009
These people say they’re offering a business but it’s nothing worthwhile an honest person can sink his teeth into. With a little research I learned most business opportunity schemes make more money selling the business than they ever make selling the product or service. Misleading “opportunities” prey on the average Joe with a little ambition. They get him to plunk down his hard earned bucks on a scheme that will only empty his wallet and break his entrepreneurial heart. It’s enough to discourage anyone from finding an honest business where a person can build a future for themselves and their family.
If you want to start a business, look for something honest with a real chance of success. Not pie-in-the-sky. An entire chapter in my e-book is devoted to the importance of integrity, honesty and explains how maintaining high integrity in your painting business can be a competitive advantage if you know how. Painting has done that for me.
Truth is, I know folks who’ve become millionaires doing what I do, but I won’t promise everyone will reach that level. That’s up to you, your level of initiative and drive. I won’t guarantee anything more than what I’ve accomplished.
After graduating from high school I had no money or job prospects. Just a strong desire to be on my own as a successful business owner. I wanted to do what I wanted to do when I wanted to do it. I spent ten years developing my system that’s provided a six figure income for two decades now. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished. Honestly – it’s not for everyone. The unvarnished truth is every real business takes real work to be successful.
Call me old-fashioned but, I believe people would rather deal with facts rather than fiction when it comes to owning a business. They’d rather know how much money they can expect to make using a proven system and putting in an honest days’ work. By duplicating my painting business system people who follow the steps will see more money in a week than they used to see in a month.
